Publishing on a Mission
If you’re an IBPA member, be sure to check out my article appearing in the July/August issue of Independent magazine, which should be landing in mailboxes any day now. It’s the first in a two-part series on the current state of trade book publishing in the nonprofit world, focused on what current publishers are doing to use book publishing as a way to build their brand, meet mission objectives, and generate extra revenue. Part two, which will be in the September/October issue, is a quick primer on building a book program for associations new to the trade. I think the Independent editorial and design teams did a wonderful job bringing this to life—it looks fantastic!
